2011 / Game graphics, interaction design, sound / Barreño!

Workshop Game Mod at IDAT Bcn. In collaboration with Víctor Hernández.

Barreño! is a modification of the original Atari 2600 games Kaboom!. The aim of this workshop was to modify a game and give it an other characteristics.

We tried to keep the original aesthetic and sounds of the game. The sound was developed with CFXR. Víctor and me decided to adapt the game to multiplayer and give it an other visual concept. Now we have a granny throwing water with her watering can and a bucket collecting it to attack its opponent. Both players have three lives and they win when the water touch the floor or the granny.

You can play the latest version of the game here and find a report in the blog of the workshop.
